The C40LF is the dominant bus model found in the San Diego region. New Flyer C40LFs can be found throughout the city and its suburbs, operating in a variety of different paint schemes (including San Diego Transit, old and new MTS livery, and ex-Chula Vista Transit.) Some of the older buses are in the process of being repainted into the new red and white MTS livery.
